Homemade Facial Masks for every Type of Skin!

Facial masks have been used for years to promote a youthful appearance. It is so important to have a clean and fresh skin, especially face skin. This is why you have to follow a good skin care regime. The first step toward this, is always removing sweat and makeup, especially before falling asleep. It is recommended to try on face masks, but only depending on your type of skin. Masks and exfoliators cleanse and remove dead skin cells, revealing lustrous skin beneath.
This is why I will show you several masks that you can easily and quickly prepare at home with homemade products.




For Normal Skin:


  • Mix 1 tablespoon plain yogurt, 1 teaspoon black tea and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Apply the mix on your face and cover it with a warm, moist cloth. Leave it on for 15-30 minutes.
  • Mix and apply 1 tablespoon plain yogurt, 1 tablespoon sunflower oil, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it for around 30 minutes.
  • Dissolve 1 tablespoon gelatin in 1/2 cup apple juice in a pan over warm water. Cool until it forms a gel. Then apply the gel on your face, let it dry and rinse it off with warm water. You can also replace the lemon juice with pear or peach juice and works just as well.
  • Mix an egg yolk with 1 teaspoon honey and a few drops of olive oil and apply it to the face, After 15 minutes, rinse with warm water.


For Oily and Blemished Skin 


  • Beat one egg white until stiff and mix with half a carrot finely grated. Stir in 1 teaspoon chamomile tea and 1 teaspoon anti-inflammatory yarrow tea.
  • For faces with pimples and blackheads: Mix 3 tablespoons oat flour, 3 drops of antiseptic tea tree oil, 2 drops of sage oil and an equal amount of warm water. Apply thickly on your face.
  • Mix 2 teaspoons brewer's yeast, 4 teaspoons yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey.
  • Mix 2 tablespoons honey, 3 tablespoons  ground almonds and juice of half an orange for a gentle, exfoliating scrub. When applying it on your face, avoid the eyes. You can keep the mixture in fridge for a week.


For Mature Skin


On this case, fruit masks can help to firm and smooth saggy skin.

  • Peel and puree a ripe peach and mix with a little facial cream to make a thick paste.
  • Grate an unpeeled apple and stir together with 1 tablespoon cornstarch for a wrinkle- defying mask.
  • Mix half pureed banana, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon wheat flakes and 1 tablespoon yogurt. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it for 15 minutes.


For Dry Skin


  • Soak 2 tablespoons fine oat flakes in 1/2 cup buttermilk for 30 minutes. Apply thickly on your face.
  • Mix 2 teaspoons honey, 2 tablespoons yogurt and 1 teaspoon wheat bran.


For Sensitive Skin


  • Stir together 2 tablespoons oats with 3 drops peppermint oil and equal amount of hot water. Spread the mask on thickly on your face.
